What is a Normal Pharmacists day like at work?
I want to be a Pharmacist (well it is a possibility) but what is a day at work like for a pharmacist? Like what do they do all day?

- HELL...run FAST in the opposite direction. You will go to school and get your PharmD and work in a retail store with customers yelling at you all day long because their copay is too high or it takes more than 10min to prepare their rx. It is rare and generally in older population that anyone even knows what a Pharmacist does...most people think you are little more than a checkout person. When you identify a drug interaction that could potentially harm them and it takes time to call the md to get the ok for something else for them, they get angry. You will be required to fill 200+ rx's with everyone upset with you for one reason or another. You will be put in the position of policing addicts who will try anything...I've seen everything in the book. Then there is the store manager and others trying to reduce your help. The only ray of hope is those few patients a day who know what you do, value and appreciate it. It may not be the MOST miserable job I can imagine, but it IS the most miserable one that requires extensive education. RUN...RUN...RUN!!!!
