Can you use more than one pharmacy to fill your different prescriptions?
I don't want to switch pharmacies. I get 2 prescriptions at my local pharmacy. My new prescription (#3) is not covered by my insurance. It is about $10 cheaper at an online pharmacy like drugstore.com than at my local pharmacy. Can I go to the new pharmacy just for the new prescription? bmac -- It would not be a weird, off-brand site. Places like drugstore.com are fine. It is a brand name prescription and will not be $4 at Target.

- you can do it!
- Yep! I work at a pharmacy and have a lot of people come to ours from other pharmacies, or only get some of them at my pharmacy because of the same deal- they can get them cheaper elsewhere.
- I wouldn't order ANY medications online. You have no idea what you will get. Go to either Walmart or Target. They offer hundreds of medications for $4. Total. No insurance.
- absolutely
- you can unless it says otherwise on your prescription
- Sure you can.....you could have all 3 at different places if you wanted. The main thing about having them all at one place is so they can catch if you have a conflict in prescriptions that could cause a reaction.
- yes u can do get ur prescriptions filled anywhere u like..the main problem is ppl fill a prescription at one pharmacy n try to get the same pescription filled at another pharmacy.
- It's very risky to buy prescription drugs online. Is the $10 saved worth the high risk of counterfeit drugs? 25% of drugs from domestic online pharmacies are counterfeit, and 80% of drugs from foreign online pharmacies. I would not do this, unless this online pharmacy has VIPPS certification from the NABP.
