Can I still go to pharmacy school without having attending a university with a pre-pharmacy program?

I want to be a pharmacist one day, but the college that I will be entering next semester does not have a pre-pharmacy program. Is it possible for me to complete my pharmacy school prerequisite classes anyway? Also, how many years does it take, beginning with the freshman year of college, until graduation from pharmacy school? Thanks!

1. I don't know about where you are, but in St Louis, We have the St Louis College of Pharmacy. It stands on its own, and accepts students out of high school. It is a six year school, and students come out with a PharmD. http://www.stlcop.edu
2. Most schools don't have a pre-pharmacy program. Don't sweat it. It just means you'll have to make sure the classes you take fulfill the pharmacy school requirements on your own. You'll have to talk to your school's counselor and double check with a pharmacy school all the time to make sure you're on track. Normally, you do 4 years in undergrad. Then, pharmacy school is another 4 years.
3. You don't have to be in a formal pre-pharmacy program to be accepted into pharmacy. On average, takes 2-4 years to complete the prepharm curriculum.
