Can I fill my pet prescription at a human pharmacy?

My cat is hyperthyroid and is prescribed a medication that can also be prescribed to humans. It's Tapizole, and the generic version of it is pretty cheap in Costco and WalMart pharmacies. If I show up at a human pharmacy with the prescription from my vet, will they fill it? I know insurance won't cover it, clearly. But I'm wondering if they can do this, because if so, it's even cheaper than getting it from an online animal pharmacy.
