Choosing between PharmD. and Pharmacy Technician in STL, MO? I'm currently attending a state U in PreMed but have been wanting to get onto a Pharmacy track. However there are only 2 pharmacy programs in MO and they are both 6 yr tracks for those out of HS. I hope to transfer to STLCOP but I know they don't accept very many transfers. Would it be tough switching to pharmacy tech after my second yr at the state U? I'm not sure if it's an undergrad program or not but I'd plan on doing it online so I can hold a full time job. Aside from the salary dif, can anyone tell me what would be a better idea? My other choice is to finish my bachelors in chemistry and apply to a school over in IL but I'm not sure if I want another four yrs living away from home. Moving back and forth is a hassle. CVS Salary? I have been working at cvs for nearly 18 months. I started as a cashier and have been trained in the photo department. And I started working in the pharmacy where I am being trained as a pharmacy tech. I am usually on time, everytime someone calls off I go in to work, I stay after my shift if someone is late. I go in and start working without having to be told to. I am good with customers. And I am not trying to sound conceited but I do a very good job and i work my butt off for this company. Should I ask for a raise because they are only paying me minimum wage?

Pharmacy vs Chemical Engineering? I'm wondering which direction I should go in. Currently, I am deciding where to go between these schools: Rutgers Pharmacy, Georgia Tech's Engineering, Northwestern's McCormick School of Engineering (currently waiting for Cooper Union). I started working for this company 3 years ago as a cashier for $7.25 an hour, then after 1yr got transferred to its pharmacy department to get $9.00 an hour, just before changing my salary, they transferred me to another pharmacy, I thought the new manager was going to change it, but he didn't so after telling him that the old employer had promised to change it, he said that I needed to know more to get more money(pharmacy tech certificate). so after waiting for 2 years to get $9.00 an hr while other tech in my job get at least $11 an hr, and after getting my pharmacy tech certificate last month they still haven't changed my salary. This is my second yr in college, i'm getting my associates degree in science, don't u think i desever more? Should I sue them, n how much?

I went to salary.com and it said that Pharmacy Technicians make more than Medical Assistants. I didn't understand because you get an A.S. Degree with A degree in medical assisting and a certificate in pharmacy tech. I was so confused. But i do have a little medical experience because i have worked as a phlebotomist before, so i probably will get paid just a tad bit more anyway.
