How much is tuition for MOST pharmacy schools? I would like to know approximately how much pharmacy schools charge for tuition alone. If possible, I would also like the expenses for dorming at that school as well. Another big question: Is there a public pharmacy school, so the tuition is cheaper, or are they all private schools?
What are some pharmacy schools with contingency programs? I know The University of Toledo in Ohio has a contingency program, but I was wondering if any other pharmacy school in the US has a similar program. Do people from BETTER PHARMACY SCHOOLS make more money than the ones from the schools of lower rank? I am a New Jersey high school senior and wish to be a pharmacist someday. Rutgers is the only school that has the pharmacist program, and it is a good school for sure. However, it seems that it is only the 27th best pharmacy school in the nation, according to a list of ranked pharmacy schools. Some people are saying that the school that you graduate from does not really matter, as long as you have good grades. NOW I AM CONFUSED. Should I then bother to apply to UMich in Michigan, which is the 3rd best pharmacy school in our nation according to the list but will definitely have a higher tuition? Help me out, please~ THANK YOU. Lea, what is 2+4 and 0+6?
How many pharmacy schools to apply to? I will be applying to pharmacy schools in a few years but am unsure of how many to apply to, considering I have generally good credentials (PCAT score, GPA, volunteering/work experience, etc.) I know that for most students applying to medical school, they usually apply to about 10 or more. How many pharmacy schools does one generally apply to? Thanks! :)

I know of St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Drake, and the UIC GPPA program. Are there any other 6 year programs in the midwest?
Do Pharmacy schools care what college you completed your undergrad in? I am currently completing my undergrad in Uc Riverside and I plan on going to Pharmacy School. However, I was wondering if there was a big difference in receiving a say 3.5 gpa at Ucr compared to receiving maybe a 3.5 gpa in Uc Irvine because if there was I thought it might be wise to transfer to Uc Irvine after the second year of my undergrad. Thanks.

For most pharmacy schools, do they want you to have a Bachelor's in Biology, or Chemistry? I'm looking into some pharmacy schools right now. I'm actually still in High School and still debating careers. The other career i'm looking into is Nursing, but it seems with Pharmacy you get a much higher pay, only problem is there's much longer schooling. Do most pharmacy schools want you to have a Bachelor's in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc..? And which of these degrees can be the stepping stone to the most different pathways? I.e. Med school or vet school or something... Thanks!

Do pharmacy schools care if you major outside of the field? This fall, I'll be a sophomore at a private liberal arts college. Last year, I took the pre-med track not knowing what I wanted within the health care field. Now, though, I'm fairly certain I want to attend pharmacy school. Problem is, our school doesn't have a pre-pharmacy major... it's just a track. I'd like to finish 4 years here, and ideally, I was thinking of (sort-of) double majoring by doing music (my other passion) and fulfilling the prerequisites for pharmacy school. Will majoring in music hurt me when it comes to applying? Or, with my grades high in both areas, will it help me? Also, if I finish 4 years at this school (ending up with a bachelor's degree), how long will it take for me to complete the pharmacy school portion? Would it be a better idea to consider fulfilling all the requirements and transfer before I graduate? So confused. Thanks for your herlp!
What are the best schools for a 6 year pharmacy program? I'm going to be a senior this fall and am starting to apply to colleges. Does anyone have any suggestions on what schools I should apply to that has a good pharmacy program. I know that the University of the Pacific and UCSD has one, but what else? I live in California and would prefer if the school was here, but if it's out of state, I'm willing to leave CA. If not a pharmacy program, any good medical or research programs school? Thanks!

Question about pharmacy schools? I am a Major at a university that has nothing to do with science . Im a psychology major. If i recieve a good majority of prereqs for pharmacy school at a community college with say a 3.5 GPA taking summer classes and stuff and some prereqs at my university with around a 2.0 GPA AND get my psychology degree is it fair to say i still have a good shot at getting into a decent pharmacy school?
