What should I expect from a pharmacy tech job at Kroger? I just got a part time job at Kroger as a pharmacy tech in Michigan. I'm also a premed student going full time. I have no previous experience but the manager thought I could be trained and could do the job. So my question is how much pay should I expect and what will be my duties? Will I ever need to get licensed? Does the job go well with school? Any info is helpful. Thank you!
What type of Drug test does KROGER use for pharmacy intern employees? Also does Kroger randomly administer drug tests. I heard the answer was NO-- just want to make sure. Brian It's just a joint once in a while-calm down. I have never abused any hard drug or prescription med. Its just that THC stays in your system longer than any other drug, so drug tests are letting hard drug users off the line. I mean think about it a heroin or crack addict could leave work Friday go an a complete drug binge that night and pass his drug test Monday at work(since those drugs clear in about 48 hrs.) whereas If I smoke a friggin joint 3 weeks ago I fail. And trust me, some of your healthcare providers and people you depend on, have thier own naughty little endulgences/habits-YOU JUST DONT KNOW ABOUT IT.
Can I call my local Kroger's pharmacy's to ask...? I want to work as pharmacy technician or worker, whatever but I'm sixteen years old. My friend who works at a pharmacy makes $33 an hour nightly shifts. How should I call the krogers pharmacy and ask if they hire teens as a spot position or what? What is the less stupid way? I dont want to sound stupid and dumb.

Which pharmacy is better-- CVS or Kroger? I'm trying to decide which company to work for as a pharmacist. I would like some feedback from patients who have experienced both good and bad from both stores. Any reasons why you like one over the other? Any complaints about either? Thanks!
How does a pharmacy know what medication you filled at a different pharmacy? I went to walgreens and tried to fill a pain pill prescription that is a different strength than another one I filled 3 weeks ago at a different pharmacy. Anyway, she was able to see that I had filled the same type of medication at kroger. how did she see that? I dont have health insruance so its not like they denied it or something.
Pharmacy Technician pay at other locations...? I am a certified Kroger Pharmacy Technician for over 1 year now. I am only making $7.75/hr and unfortunatley the most i can make there as tech is about $8.50. Is this rate of pay typical for all pharmacies such as walgreens, cvs, and rite aid etc...??
Kroger Holiday Pay for X-mas Eve? I work in the Kroger pharmacy (tech), and I'm fairly new. I just found out that I work 8.5 hours on x-mas eve, and I was just curious if you get holiday pay for x-mas eve, and if so, how much? I make 6.65/hour if it helps.
Is being paid at $7.50 an hour fair considering I'm a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)? I had just received my certification, and I was able to land a part-time job as a CPhT at a local Kroger Pharmacy. I was expecting to earn anywhere from $11-$15 an hour. I've never had any previous work experience. Also, the manager told me that Kroger pays less than most retail pharmacies. However, all non-certified pharmacy technicians start out at $7.50. It's almost as if there was little point in getting my certification. I got my first two paychecks yesterday. My parents think that $7.50 an hour is fairly low especially since I'm already certified. I took a class in the summer to learn about being a pharmacy technician. Within a few months, I took the exam and passed on my first try. I took this Fall semester off to get my certification and to get a job. I'm interested in becoming a pharmacist, so that's why I decided to try to get a job as a CPhT to see how things work in a pharmacy and to see if I would like to make a career out of it. So, is not having any previous work experience somewhat negating my certification; and does Kroger really pay less than other retail pharmacies? Now, I'm not really complaining. I am glad to have gotten a job especially with the economy the way it currently is. I would just like to know if I'm being paid out of fairness and not out of advantage. Thanks in advance!
What are some qualifications to put on a resume for a pharmacy technician? I'm 19 years old and applying for a job as a pharmacy technician. This is very 1st resume I have ever made. I have been working at Kroger pharmacy for the past year and a half. Also other jobs are subway and dairy queen. What qualifications should I use. Should I even put my past two other job on the resume considering its just fast food and has nothing to with the position I'm applying for. I'm not a certified pharmacy tech either, I would like to be one though. I was hoping that my future career would certify me.
Can you buy hair cream at the grocery store, or local pharmacy? I got a haircut the other day and when the lady put in something called hair cream in my hair. It made it look nice and it was like 20 dollars for it. I said no thinking that was a little ridiculous. Do they sell it at like Kroger? or Walgreens or something similar to that?
open pharmacy in indy? Help! Kroger or Marsh pharmacy open in indy??/? I forgot to fill my meds and because of the type of med. it is the doctor only allows these pharmacys to be used. can anyone tell me either were to find one open on christmas or when the pharmacy will open? any info be big help
Taking your childs prescription adderall? Its been recently discovered that my husbands ex wife has been having a prescription filled for his son, that we didnt know about. The drug she has been getting filled is adderall. His son lives with us and has not been taking any prescription pills at all. We went to Kroger pharmacy and found this out today. They told my husband about the prescription, so my husband asked who has been signing for it. Low and behold there was his ex wifes signature in black and white. Seems she likes this drug for her own purpose. Isnt this considered a crime? Anyone out there ever heard of this happening?
Berberis aquifolium tincture cream for acne? I've heard that berberis aquifolium tincture cream helps acne a lot. But where in the USA can I find it? My aunt uses it and the results are amazing, but she got it in Europe. All I can think of trying are Walgreens, CVS/Pharmacy, Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger, and Tom Thumb.
What generic distribupter brand of Adderall should I go with:? Please tell me the company name that seems to have the best effectiveness and which pharmacy I can get it filled. For example, CVS, Kroger, ect.!? The Pharmacore is the generic kind I first got from walgreens and I don't feel the adderall working at all! Is it because that company binds it with stuff that makes it not as effective?
How should I quit a job i just started a week ago? I work at kroger in the floral department only for a week and i got a job offer at cvs in the pharmacy as a pharmacy tech. i need the medical job experiacne cause in the fall im going to nursing school and once i graduate in a few years if i dont have a medical job experiance history i wont be able to get a job as an icu pediatric nurse.
What would be the best place to train for pharmacy technician? Ok, so I worked at a drug store for about a year and a half. And working there sparked my interest in becoming a pharmacist, so I took that interest and I'm running with it. My best question is, what place offers the most help in training you to become a pharm tech? I heard that Kroger's will hire you and train you so you can become a pharm tech. Is this true? Will say, CVS or Walgreens do the same? What company will allow you in the pharmacy and help you become a pharm tech?
Tri sprintec/ Trinessa? I went to the gyno today to get a new birth control prescription, and I thought what she prescribed was TRI SPRINTEC. I got home tonight after getting my prescription filled at kroger pharmacy and realized I have TRINESSA. It's too late to call them tonight, but I'll call tomorrow. Just wondering though, are these the same medications? Are TRI SPRINTEC and TRINESSA both generic for ortho tri cyclen??
drug store gave me the wrong medication? on friday i seen my doctor, she wrote me out two prescriptions, I take them to the "kroger pharmacy" in covington,ky the man filled my prescriptions I take them for two day's,then on monday evening the kroger pharmacy calls said one of the prescriptions they gave me,Was the Wrong Medicine. they said it was the Doctors fault because the pharmacy coudent read it. I'm ok but Pissed what should I do next? I have thought about filing a lawsuit, so this can not happen again, the thing that angered me is the pharmacy say's bring it back,we'll give you a 20.00 gift card for our mistake, I need serious advice please.thank you
Pharmacist gave my 11 month old infant wrong doseage, I missed a week of work and my son was violently ill!? My son was seen by his dr w/ otitis media 12/10/2008. He was given Augmentin 1 & 1/2 tsp twice daily. The doctor gave me a hand written script. My husband stopped at the Kroger pharmacy & had the script filled. My husband gave my son several doses before I actually had an opportunity to check the bottle. When I did administer a dose to my son, I noticed the strength seemed high for a 17 pound 11 month old baby. Augmentin 600 mg 1 & 1/2 tsp twice daily. I called Kroger the pharmacist who told me my son was given a hi dose due to his infection being chronic, I questioned this diagnosis since it was only his 2nd ear infect in life & requested a copy of the original RX, it was written Augmentin 125/5 1&1/2 tsp twice daily, the correct dose. It was a pharmacy error, they offered me a $20 gift card "to make this go away". My son had 8 days of severe diarrhea and vomitting, followed by a week of lethargy. His 1st xmas was a mess and his 3 sisters suffered as well missing family parties. I ran out of room to write. A settlement group contacted me and wants to know what I want or how much I think it's worth. At 1st I was a little mad, all I wanted was my son to be correctly treated. I have been communicating with a settlement group for a couple months, they always say they will call back, but never do. My son has had to have liver function tests to confirm no long term damage. I'm just frustrated. I do feel like they should be responsible, but how do you place a value on what might have happened. He was very sick for 2 weeks and I missed 1 week of work. More than anything an apology would have been nice from the pharmacist. I still can't believe she lied to me and passed the buck to my sons dr. My question is how do I value a claim of this nature? Why should I have to be the one to determine that value?
Can you help me edit this speech. Or give me tips to improve it? Its due tomorrow =(? Well to those that do not know me my name is Jared Keith Averitt. Well I can tell you that I'm a secret agent from a foreign country and my grandfather was the king of Spain, but I am not going to tell you all of my secrets, at least not yet. No really I’m just a non-traditional young adult who is finding himself in this chaotic world of bliss and confusion. I am a Clarksville resident and have been that way since day one, although I have moved a total of 12 times in my life. My parents are divorced and both have remarried, although I do not speak to my father anymore my mothers new husband adopted me and I now think of him as my own father. You wont ever catch me at a bbq or a steak house I have been a vegetarian for 2 years now. I have my own believes and I am defiantly my own person incase you can’t tell. I did not go to regular school like most of you. Only 1:300 students here at APSU were home schooled. Some people could say that I have missed out on many things that are important in life by not going to high school, I’m not going to disagree. Like a lot of my family, they think I missed out on the communications and social skills you get only in high school But I really don’t think I missed out on verymuch. The most important thing to me in life at this moment is, going to college and getting a degree in something I love. I really enjoy helping people, and I do just that were I work at Kroger Pharmacy as a certified tech. I stumbled upon this career 2 years ago when I was hired at another competitive pharmacy as a store clerk; I was fresh out of high school just itching to get a job you know. Have my own money, and hopefully save up to buy my own car. And soon after I really started to like my job and felt like I wanted to make it my career. A year later I studied and took the CHPT Exam passed and now i'm a certified technician. My ultimate goal in life is to complete college, acquire my BS go to Graduate school and have my PHD Pharmacy and becoming a part of the research and development studies for cancer medications,
What is causing this to happen to me? For about 2 weeks now, my blood pressure has been pretty high - not as high as it could be, but higher than it has ever been in my entire life. Last Friday, I took my blood pressure on the machine at kroger pharmacy, and it was 147/101 and my pulse was 113. All week last week my blood pressure had been between 138/90 and 145/100 with my pulse being about 95-103 . I am a 32 year old female, and I have never had this happen before. Ii took my blood pressure again this afternoon, and it was 141/91 , and my pulse was 95. Besides these factors I have also experienced the following : tightness in the chest area, as well as feeling like I can feel my heart pumping harder than normal as well as being extremely tired all the time. What exactly does this mean, and what should I do ? I am a very busy person who works and is a single mom (not that it has anything to do with how I am feeling), and I really dont have time for much else. ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
Anyone know where I can get a coupon for a prescription? I know many pharmacies offer coupons if you bring them a new or transferred presription such as Target,CVS, Rite Aid, etc. Usually they will give youa gift card for $10 or $20 say, when you fill a new prescription with them. Anyway, I recently filled a prescription at Kroger and was told that if I had a coupon from a competitor they would accept it ( I know Target had a$10 gift card coupon in the paper this week but I missed it) Does anyone happen to have one or know where I can download or print one online? I did a search and all I found was expired coupons, I need a current one, please help,I only have a few days to find a coupon so that i can go back to Kroger and get the price adjustment/gift card/etc. Thanks to anyone who can help.
Does generic tadalafil really exist? Is it possible to have a urologist or doctor prescribe it instead of Cialis? If so how much does it cost at a reputable pharmacy such as Target, Walgreen's, Kroger, etc... Please do not advise about any online pharmacies as I do not intend on using any. Thanks for your help.

I am applying for jobs and getting no response, tell me what I should do? A lot of you said I should call them and bug them, when should I start doing that? And for the time being I send them an email along the lines of this, I have sent it to both Kroger and Albertsons. Where are the PSN Tickets? Does anyone know when the PlayStation Network Cards will be released in North and South America? Will they be available in stores like Target, K-Mart, Vons, SafeWay, Big-Lots, CVS Pharmacy, Dollar General, Publix, Kroger or Sears?

Who has access to prescription records? My husband went to his pain management doc and the doctor had a printout that showed every pharmacy my husband had visited and what prescription he had bought/filled at each store. My husband's doc was mad because he got his RX filled at several different pharmacies, but I am always sending my hubby out with a coupon whenever he gets a new RX. Kroger, CVS, RiteAid offer $25, $30, $50 etc to tranfer a script, here in GA they are very competitive. What I'm wondering though, is, did the doc get this prinout from the pharmacy, the insurance company, does the doc have access to it himself, or how did he get the printout of all of the store visits? One of the RX techs gave me a hard time about using a coupon and I wondered did she alert the doc to cause us problems? Since my husband is on pain meds, the doc had him sign an agreement to visit only one pharmacy from now on. Seems not fair that others can change pharmacies and utilize promos, but not if you are taking opiates (pain meds).
Question about Xanax/Alprazolam and best place to have prescription filled? A friend of mine got prescribed Xanax about six months ago. The last two months (they have been getting their prescription filled at Kroger) they said the pills were no good. I personally don't know anything about the medication - how long the shelf life is, if it can 'go bad'... They know I use the computer a lot so they asked me to look it up and see if any particular pharmacy carries a more consistent or well liked off-brand of the drug. However, when I looked it up, all I could find were those online pharmacies trying to get you to order pills. So...I came here and could not find this question previously asked. If you take or have ever taken Xanax/Alprazolam, is there any preferred pharmacy or a pharmacy you have trouble with (as far as not being happy with the medication they provided). Please don't answer if you're not sure, and thanks to all who do for the help!
What to do when you feel stuck in life? I'll expand here without making this horribly too long. I'm currently 24 years married been living on my own for years, so my problem isn't like i'm stuck at home with mom and dad or anything or that i can't meet females or something like that, that I have seen alot on the net. My problem is for years I busted my butt trying to get what I thought was my dream job and finally after years of trying I got it and...end up hating it! Now I miss my old crappy 11.60 an hour job I hate from fresh out of highschool until early twenty something. Bascially found out the hard way that I wans't cut out for police work. Gave it some time but ended up moving on, my problem is that was my answer to all my problems in my head before I got the job. Good money good insuarnce be able to start a family with the wife you know things like that...the american dream? They must call it a dream because you have to be alseep to see it. I don't know so i went from making over 20 an hour back to being skilless and worthless because if your in police work or anything law enforcement related (corrections) what have you, your skills aren't really useful for anything. Now I would of joined the marines or army at the ripe age of 18 if I didn't have type 1 diabetes. (had it sine I was 12.) So they won't take me so after the police work job, I got a job working secuirty because it was all thats out there at the time and i relized i was doing the same type of work for WAY less money. Alright so then I apply to places like mad and get a temp job offer at a kmart around me thats going out of business and needs some help...well it beats what I am doing now I say and pays the same...SO i agree to take it the day before I'm supposed to start that I get a call from kroger and get offered a job with them. Korger isn't going out of business and the only bad thing about it was.. it was part time with a very real chance to move to full time so I took it. So i work there as a cashier for a short time then the GM there calls me up into the office one and and wants me to try working in the pharmacy because they need tot ake on another person and for whatever reason this guy likes me alot and wants me to become a pharmacy tech, he figures I'm as he put it "the only smart enough i have working for me right now to do it," I don't agree with that but It seems like it would of been good for me so I wans't going to agrue. Anyways I took the offer and got back from my first day of "classroom" training today I already had On the job training and idunno i mean it seems like a nice oppunrity for me but... at the same time... I feel kinda like man is this it? I could of got a degree for this years ago and done this years ago...but maybe I'm just being a mopey moron. I just feel like I have been hoping jobs so much the last year- 2 years that I don't even know who I am or what I am doing and to be honest with eveyrone reading It was easier when I was unemployed and could just sleep all day get durnk and do nothing all day althought that made the wife pretty upset. I don't know what do NORMAL people live for? What is their reason for getting out of bed and trying? because whatever it is I don't have it right now. I don't really care about anything I feel stressed and pressured to make something of myself here and I know my wife wants to get into a spot where we can have a baby I want that too but I have no clue how to get there at this point. I'm out of answers and I don't worry about her leaving me or anything like that but it just isn't a feeling I like having because idk doesn't feel manly.
Required to pay for precriptons through insurance? My insurance plan requires me to order all maintanice prescriptions through their mail order pharmacy (PharmaCare/Caremark) - but I can get them cheaper w/o insurance through WalMart/Kroger/Walgreens since they have the "sale" prices on Rx's now - almost 1/2 of what the insurance is going to cost. Are you required to send Rx's through insurance or can you ask to pay for it outright? - Specifically Birth Control. More Specifically - Tri Nessa Essentially - can I get prescriptions without using my insurance? Note: Insurance is set up to pay the first $1000, then we are out of pocket - We are sure to go through that amount so if we can save on the Rx's the insurance can be used for other medical care.
Do pharmacists have a life? I'm a senior in high school and I'm still trying to find a job I'm interested in. Science is definitely my favorite subject in school; I'm taking three AP science classes next year. Anywho, at first I wanted to be a doctor. Being a doctor seems very "sciencey" and (very importantly) has a good salary! But I've read that doctors have a very stressful life and barely have enough relaxation time. If money was everything, then I'd have no problem with this. But if I get married and have a family to support, I don't just want to support them financially, but I also want to be there for them. So I came to the realization that maybe being a doctor isn't right for me... so I started to consider pharmacy. Here are my questions: 1) Do pharmacists have a life? I use to work at Kroger and the pharmacist that was there worked very early in the morning and late at night... to me, that's scary. 2) Do pharmacists at hospitals and retail stores work different hours? As stated above, 12+ hours at work not only seems unbearable, but I'd never be home... 3) Is being a doctor as bad as they say? Of course, this is a pretty vague question - there are many types of doctors! A dermatologist would hardly ever get called in, but I've also read that dermatology is one of the hardest residencies to get into after med school! So, if such a job exists, are there any types of doctors that don't have an extremely stressful life? 4) If a pharmacist works all the time and a doctor works all the time, is there any other good paying science job that could potentially work for me? Ya, I know... 4 questions that aren't all completely related... but if someone could answer some of them, that would be very helpful! Thank you very much! Ok... some of you guys are assuming that I hate work because I'm lazy... that's not the case! I'm willing to work for the sake of making A LOT of money... but I don't want to work 24/7! I just feel like family time might be more important than working for most of my life...
What is another name for the supplement/drug Senna-S? I used to get Senna-S at Kroger, now I've moved and am not near a Kroger. I can't find the exact same name of it in any other pharmacies. I think it's under a different name, but I don't know what it is. docusate sodium and sennosides are in it, I think. Definitely the first one. It doesn't have any vegetable stuff in it. I take it for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Sorry I can't give you a better explanation than "vegetable stuff" It's the only thing I remember about it not having.
Why are condoms locked in a case at Kroger? I went to Kroger earlier and I was looking for Ibuprofen in the pharmacy. I never got here and I saw a case with condoms and other sex products but it was locked and there was a sign that said the pharmacy workers have the key to it. Why would they lock them in a case but still have all kinds of medicine out in the open?
