what are the requirements for working in a pharmacy like walmart? I am a freshman in college and I want to work at a pharmacy...like Walmart or Walgreen's or something. What are the requirements if any? Do I have to be a med student? I have a friend that is currently working in a pharmacy but shes not majoring in pharmaceuticals or anything. Thanks.
How much (about) is ProAir Inhaler at Walmart Pharmacy? My doctor usually gives them free as I don't have insurance, but the last time i went they did not have any more. I used up the last of mine on an attack today and as I am out of town for a while I will need my dr. to call one into the pharmacy here. I have a 20 dollar off coupon as well I plan on calling the pharmacy when the open, just wondered if anyone knew the cost so I could find out sooner!
Walmart or CVS Pharmacies pay for pharmacy school? A woman at my college told me that Walmart and CVS Pharmacy will pay for your pharmacy school if you agree to work for them for 5 years at a reduced salary but I cannot find anything about it on their sites. Does anyone know anything about this?
Wellbutrin at Walmart Pharmacy? So, my prescription costs me $80 a month, which is hard for me to afford. Is Wellbutrin cheaper to get at Walmart than a pharmacy?
Can Plan B pills be purchased at Walmart pharmacies? I really don't want to go through another abortion and the hospital pharmacy refuses to sell them because they are a Catholic faith based hospital. CVS is out of stock and won't get them in until Monday. Anyone know if Walmart sells them?
Walmart pharmacy made a mistake. They gave my 15-month son a prescription with wrong dosage - help!? My son had an ear infection, so he was prescribed a pretty strong antibiotic. The doctor called it in, and my wife picked up the prescription from Walmart Pharmacy. We noticed the dosages seemed rather large, but trusted Wal-Mart to not make mistakes like that. We gave him two doses, but started to worry when he kept throwing up and was super fussy. We called the doctor to double check, and he said the prescription was wrong. It should have been half a teaspoon twice a day. His bottle said 2.5 teaspoons twice a day. That’s five times the amount. Well, I called Wal-Mart pharmacy furious, and after looking it up in their computer, they admitted fault and said it was a typo. The doctor had called it in right, but wal-mart inputted it wrong. If this had been my medication, I wouldn’t have been so upset. But when they mess with the health of my 15-month old son, there’s no excuse. This was an antibiotic, but what if it had been something stronger, something that could have killed him? What can I do? After some research, I’m reading that wal-mart does this all too often.
Would Walmart pharmacy cover their tracks in order to not exchange my medication? Walmart says I was given generic fioricet with caffeine. I assume I was given generic phrenilin? Generic fioricet with caffeine is blue. Last month I had the pharmacy call the doctor and ask for phrenilin. They told me the doctor said it was alright. All I know is that the bottle is the same as this month, but the pill I recieved last month were tan, and this month they are blue, and this month I feel sick from caffeine, and last month I didn't. I have no idea if generic phrenilin is tan colored or not. I do know that generic fioricet with caffeine is blue. And I know I did not take blue pills last month, they were tan. Walmart will not exchange them, and they say I was given blue pills last month. My question is, does Walmart know they messed up and still do not want to give me phrenilin in exchange for the blue pills? Or do they really believe I was given blue pills last month? I agree with the first answer. I will wait until the doctor can tell me what he said. I have no plans of taking this blue medication. I can't afford to refill it this month for another $50. I do not want the blue medication, but I am stuck with them. I agree that Walmart does not want to admit to their mistake. I am powerless, and will just accept it.
Pharmacy ethics question at Walmart Pharmacy? Last month I had a prescription for something with caffeine. I requested that they give me the kind without caffeine. They called the doctor and he said it was alright. The pills were brown. I ordered a refill, there are a lot of pills, and Walmart can't exchange them, they will have to throw them away. These pills are blue, and they contain caffeine. Caffeine makes me sick. When I show them the original bottle, will they honor my request, and give me what I ordered? My medication without caffeine? I'm not at home to look at the bottle, and the pharmacist was really strict that I was given blue pills with caffeine. I know what color pills I take for a month are. I can also read, and I can also tell when I've taken medication with caffeine. Will Walmart Pharmacy correct their mistake when I show them, or am I stuck with caffeine?

keflex at walmart pharmacy? This might be a dumb question but if I have a prescription, could I find Keflex at a Wal-mart pharmacy? I don't know much about it.
My doctor prescribed my Lo ovral but the pharmacy at walmart gave me Cryselle.. is there any difference? So I got a prescription by my doctor for Lo Ovral but when I went to pick up at walmart, they gave me Cryselle and said that its the same thing. What are major differences between the two. Should I go back to the pharmacy and demand Lo Ovral as opposed to the generic brand? I used to be on YAZ and I had really bad experience especially with ZERO sex drive so I want to make sure I am getting the right pill for me.
How to gain experience in Pharmacy job? Hi , i am doing my B.Pharm and while i was seeing the job post gor B.Pharm which is graduate in pharmacy i think, i saw most companies require some years of experience. How do i gain that? Now i am working as a cashier at a retail store which is not related to my major anyhow. Should i work in some pharmacy like walmart, gaint eagle or cvs? work at Walmart or Longs Drugs: pharmacy tech? Hello. I wonder what decision should I make. I recently got hired by Longs drugs and worked as a pharmacy technician for about a week. The distance from my house to that longs drugs is around Trip distance: 21.32 miles Time: 28 mins The Walmart gave me a call after I turned in the application almost a month ago. They said they would like to hired me also. There distant from my house is Trip distance: 12.69 miles Time: 20 mins I want to ask opinion which one should I work for. The thing is I'm still a student and I want to have the best opportunity out there. Here is a brief comparison: salary: walmart: $13/hr starting Longs drug: $14/hr starting hours: Walmart: 20-40 hrs Longs drugs: 21-29 hours Distance: walmart : 20 minutes, 12 miles Longs drugs: 28 minutes, 21 miles I wonder what I should pick. How is walmart better or longs drugs better? If i calculate it right, even tho longs drugs is a dollar more, the time and gas money to travel there is about the same as Walmart. Is the benefit for both the same? Would Longs drugs be more fast pace and mroe work than Walmart? I'm a student, so I just don't want to be too tired after work cause I still need to study. I signed all the paperwork and I'm a little scare to quit Longs drugs but I know it'll be better to quit asap if it is possible. Walmart location is best because it's only minutes away from my fiance.
If I change my pharmacy will my prescription be cheaper? I have a prescription of YAZ and i use Rite Aid to fill it. Now, i know the cost of the prescription depends on the insurance i have, but i went to an insurance seminar and they said that certain prescriptions can be cheaper at different pharmacies. (ex. walmart, target, etc.). has anyone been successful with this, or is it just a waste of time? currently i pay 40 for a month for YAZ (i used to pay 25, but with the new year, came a new insurance plan unfortunately). thanks !
What can I do to stop this? The pharmacy is processing my prescription under Worker's Comp.? I find out through my boss twice now that my medication for a personal illness was processed through Worker's Comp. I was on Worker's Comp in February for a foot injury, however not for this disease (it would be impossible to get it from work). I tried talking to store manager at Walmart, where hte pharmacy is, and he refused to come to the phone. I talked to a pharm tech who said he would correct it, however it was processed again through worker's comp. I fee this is a violation of my privacy and did not want my boss knowing I have this illness as it is not her business. Who can I contact since the company/ pharmacy said they would correct the problem and did not? Also, the secondtime they did it was this month, a month after we transferred the Rx to another pharmacy.
What are the glasses hanging at Walmart for? You know when you go to the pharmacy section in walmart, they have glasses hanging with variosu prescriptions. I got prescription antibiotics at a very small local pharmacy and at Walmart? Walmart's price was 20$ MORE than the "mom and pop" drug store. I am serious. Azithromycin 250mg for myself at a local drug store 25.95$ and the very same thing at Walmart for my college daughter in another town 44.62$. 4$ prescriptions my @ss! They just robbed me! I called Walmart and the tech said that 25.95$ is less than their wholesale price but when I talked to my pharmacist he said that was not true, they all get their antibiotics at about the same price and that Walmart probably gets a discount because they buy in bulk. Anyone else notice this kind of corruption? My point is more that Walmart is not the bargain they make themselves out to be--I just wondered if there was anyone else out there that had noticed that. I don't have prescription coverage. I didn't expect a 4 dollar prescription but I didn't expect them to be 20 dollars higher than my small town pharmacy. People need to be informed. Both were generic prescriptions-identical

Pharmacy costs for prescription medicines in diferent stores? I want to know whether the same prescription medicine will cost the same or different in stores like Target, Walmart, CVC if the insurance do not covers the medicine prescribed. Also wants to know whether doctors get any commission from Pharmacy stores on prescribing any medicines when the similar variation are already available on the shelves?
How can a beginning pharmacy technician get hired by a hospital pharmacy without experience other than school? Specifically, I would like to work in either an outpatient or more so, and inpatient pharmacy in a hospital setting. I would much rather do this than work in a retail setting. Can anyone recommend a process or tips or ideas about how to go about getting hired bya hospital, when all the ads I see for hospital pharm tech openings seem to require one year experience right off the bat? I feel as though it's nigh impossible to get anywhere unless given a chance, and that chance just doesn't seem to be out there. How can I get experience pertinent to a hospital pharmacy if I'm working in a retail pharmacy like Walgreens for example? What about IV and TPN prep experience? Not gonna get that at Costco or Walmart, am I? Even more specifically, anybody out there work for the Sutter Health, Kaiser or UCSF pharmacy systems here in the Bay Area in California? Please help!
Walmart messed up our child's prescription? Our 18 month old son was given a prescription for an antibiotic two months ago, walmart messed it up and after a week of i'm sorry and a small settlement we let it go. Today he was given the same prescription and we took it to a different walmart pharmacy, They Messed it up again! only this time they didn't mix it at all, What do i do?
Is there anything I can do about this pharmacy? Okay, last year my Walmart pharmacy filled a prescription for a BP medicine for me. I got home, took it and within 30 minutes began to suffer from hives. When I checked the label it had a warning stating those with allergies to sulfa drugs should not take. I called Walmart, confirmed that their records indicated this allergy and asked why they filled the presciption. They stated, "well, it's only if you have a SEVERE allergy to sulfa" and my response was "I DO ! It's not your place to determine how severe my reaction might be. You should have caught this". Of course, I DID realize there was some accountability on my part as well. Ok, so that was last year. Last week my little girl had to have a 10 day supply of Amoxicillin filled. I realized yesterday that we were going to run out 4 days short. The doc confirmed the script was correct but Walmart says "next time we'll put it in an amber bottle so you can SEE it's filled all the way". Again, they take no responsibility. What can I do? The thing last year was my fault too because I should have read the prescribing info first. But they still had a large part of accountability in it. This time with the liquid amoxicillin, I KNOW it couldn't have been filled properly. I've been measuring 1 tsp exactly, by the meniscus, 5 cc's. They didn't give me a full prescription. I guess I'm just ticked that they keep insinuating this is my fault. I think someone needs to investigate them. If it's happened twice to me in 1 year then I KNOW it's got to be happening often......
where can I buy nutrilite in schenectady? Now I`m in schenectady and I want to buy some Nutrilite bio c and CalMeg D. I don`t know where I can find them. I asked pharmacy, walmart and square mall. No reply.

Where can I buy a doppler to listen to my baby? Does anybody know first hand where I can buy a doppler in town to listen to my baby's heartbeat? I have a Walmart, Walgreens, CVS pharmacy, and that's about it, do you know if any of these places would have one? Thanks much!

If you have used the $4 drug program available at Walmart, did you have to do anything special? I keep referring people to the $4 drug program at Walmart Pharmacy, but not sure if they are required to provide any extra information to the pharmacy or do they just say "I want the $4 drug" when they arrive at the pharmacy. Do you know anything about it? I think its ridiculous people who have insurance are paying lots of money for prescriptions they can get at Walmart for $4. Please tell me what you know about getting the $4 drugs. I know my meds are on the $4 list. I just wondered what kind of paperwork...other than the prescription is needed to obtain the $4 drugs.
Which pharmacy has the most inexpensive prescriptions? I've been going to Walgreens but my doctor said they are the most expensive. He said to try Walmart or target or costco. Is the difference in prices that much? I don't have insurance so I am paying out of pocket for my prescriptions. If anyone with experience knows, I would appreciate it, thanks.
